Faecal Incontinence Hampshire

Faecal incontinence is not a nice problem even to think about, let alone to suffer from. You may feel that it’s too embarrassing even to mention it to anyone, but it would be best to seek help, because it will probably only get worse, and won’t go away by itself. And doctors, especially colorectal doctors, have basically seen and heard it all before, and certainly won’t be embarrassed talking about it!

And if you’re looking for help with faecal incontinence, or indeed any other colorectal complaint, you should consider going to Basingstoke Colorectal. This is a partnership of five colorectal and general surgeons, Mr Brendan Moran, Mr Tom Cecil, Mr Steven Arnold, Mr Faheez Mohamed and Mr Arcot Venkatasubramaniam. All of them work for the NHS at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Foundation Trust, and private work is done at the Hampshire Clinic. The partnership covers all aspects of colorectal care, specialising in low rectal cancers, but also includes investigations of colorectal complaints, and treatments including surgery.

The investigations available include rigid sigmoidoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, which you may have heard called endoscopy, colonoscopy, ultrasound, gastroscopy, laparoscopy, proctoscopy and investigation under anaesthetic.
